Information

The "Nugget" coin was minted between 1986 and 1989 by the Perth Mint to commemorate the great Australian gold rush. The initial design represented a "GOLD Nugget" or "Nugget" and this until 1989. From 1989 the central design changed to the emblematic animal of Australia, the "Kangaroo" which will be renewed annually. The GOLD Kangaroo is legal tender in Australia and is guaranteed by the State of Australia.
