Elephant of Somalia

 

The Somali Elephant, a gold coin issued for the first time in 2010, it is part of the African Wildlife series, dedicated to African wildlife, particularly the African elephant. Minted in 999 gold at its beginnings, the title was increased to 9999‰ in 2016. Despite an unlimited print run, the old editions quickly gain value, which does not fail to attract the attention of collectors as well as traditional investors.

 

The gold coins of the African Wildlife series of Somalia are minted in Germany on behalf of the Federal State of Somalia. The latter are also legal tender in Somalia and are official means of payment.

 

Several denominations are available: 1 kilogram, 5 ounces, 1/10 ounce and 1/25 ounce, will be added in 2017 the 1/4 ounce and 1/2 ounce
